"Rocked" out...

and thrilled!!! FINALLY, all the rock is complete. We even got a mailbox done, which, of course, I didn't get a pic of but will next time. Sheetrock, tape, float and texture is complete and we have about a week before the painter comes. Kinda good since I'm not 100% on the colors yet!!! The doors will be delivered Monday and the trim guys start on Tuesday hanging them. It should take them a couple days to get the doors done and then start the base boards, sills and closets. The cabinets are suppose to be complete and delivered next Monday and the trim guys will hang them. Everything is going pretty smooth. That's about right for the painter to start painting and staining everything then. We are getting excited since it seems to all be coming together.

Still hoping for a Happy Thanksgiving in the house...say a prayer...hell is a horrible place...trust me...it's much worse than even the Bible portrays...really...!!!

Still "rockin'" along...

but almost to the end. They should be starting our fireplace and columns today. They are finishing up above the garage doors this morning. Sheetrock is in and everything has been taped and they are finishing up on the floating. All the rounded corners are in. I think they will finish up with the floating by tomorrow and should be texturing on Friday or Saturday. Everything is coming together. We are very excited!!! There's still a lot to do but we are still hopeful for end of October to the first part of November. We would love to be in the house before Thanksgiving...everybody say a prayer!!!

"Rockin'" along...

the rock continues. It's looking really nice. I encountered this little creature as I was trying to get the side view of the house. It was about 8-9 inches long and those horns on the end were over an inch long...OUCH!!! "Was" is the operative word here cuz we annihilated it with a huge rock!!! LOL And I thought scorpions would be an issue...

We have stucco...

and, as you can see, they are laying the rock...YEAH!!! The sheetrock folks are a week behind, but are starting today. They have piles like in the pic all over the house...I know they're gonna have fun with that. Big Larry requested all screw in...I'm sure we're their favorite customers right about now...lol As I am posting this, ANOTHER load of sheetrock is being delivered...nice. I think they said 500-525 sheets were needed but we thought they were all there already...lol That's a lot...just glad I don't hang sheetrock for a living, but God bless 'em...lol

The fireplace went in yesterday - and, of course, I forgot to get a pic of it, but they still need to rock it and all so I'll get that later...lol. Cabinets are being built and should be ready by the end of the month. We still need to find the granite. We will be ordering appliances in the next couple of weeks or so. There's so much to do still. Everything is back to moving fast again it seems and I am NOT complaining, just a little stressed on getting the selections made. I definitely do NOT want to be holding up the process!!! LOL
