The BIG burn...

so...Larry decided to start burning the mega humongous brush pile tonight. He started pulling from it to start a "little" pile to burn that we could just slowly add to but immediately started to sweat and decided, what the hey, let's just burn the whole thing!!!...Yeah!!!...WTH!!! As you can see, it got huge. It didn't take but about 10 minutes and the PoPo's were in the cul-de-sac checkin' out the smoke stack they saw from 5 miles away...lol It was all good though. Nothing burned down...(not even our crotchity old neighbor...sorry God, you know she's a butt, too)...but anyway, we almost have our beautiful view back. A few more days like today and we should have it all gone...lol


It was really something to see - it went up so fast - it was like watching a Christmas tree being burned after the holiday...scary and just amazing. The flames were so unbelievably hot, even from 40 yards away. Hopefully, we'll have some interior pictures in the next week or so.

...it's still coming along. We have been softballing it the last month or so - hence the no pics or posts...lol Anywho, windows have gone in and the outside painting is done. Porch posts are in and the electrical is done. Plumbing rough in is done and the tubs are going in today along with the set up for the bath faucets, which I FINALLY picked out. Seems to moving a little slower now, dangit, but lots of plumbing and wiring have been happening, so I guess we're on track. Of course, I want BIG changes EVERY DAY!!! In the process of setting up the ac, sheetrock and insulation, which should start the first part of next week. We are so ready...
